Translator 1 listed a number of sources they used in aid of their translation process. They listed all of the ways they used to search for and find these information sources as instructed by the translation comment. Translator 1 writes that they first begun to search for Finnish equivalents for the special language terms in the source text. They used a google search for
“League of Legends termistö” and looked at the League of Legends Wikipedia article. They note that these sources helped them conclude that different translations were used for the same special language terms, depending on the source. The translator continues that they used the MOT dictionary for general purposes, as it has helped them since their first year of studying translation. The last way of finding information sources was, according to translator 1, using their own five-year knowledge of playing League, following e-sports, streamers and YouTubers as well as utilizing the vocabulary their gaming partners use.
