NI2012
NI 2012 is the 11th World Congress on Nursing Informatics. The conference theme is Advancing Global Health Through Informatics. It is held under the auspices of the IMIA Special Interest Group in Nursing Informatics (IMIA‐NI), and will be organised by AMIA.
The NI series of conferences is the leading gathering in the world for nurses interested in the use of informatics and health information technology. Past congresses in Helsinki, Finland; Seoul, Korea; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil;
Auckland, New Zealand; Stockholm, Sweden; Austin, Texas, USA; and Melbourne, Australia have drawn thousands of nurses and produced vibrant and sustainable results. NI 2012, scheduled in beautiful Montreal, Quebec, Canada, will be no different!

MIE2012
MIE2012, the XXIV Conference of the European Federation for Medical Informatics (EFMI), will be held in Pisa, Italy. MIE2012 will be organised by the Italian Association for Medical Informatics (AIIM), the Italian eHealth Community, and EFMI and held from August 26th to 29th, 2012. The theme is "Quality of Life through Quality of Information".
Three main streams have been identified for the Conference programme:
Papers, Posters, Panels, Workshops, Short Communications, and Tutorials
'Village of the Future' which will try to mash‐up developments to empower citizens, patients and care providers
Commercial stream for Industrial and SME participants with the exhibition and other contributions
Registration to the conference is due to be open from April 1, 2012. Early bird registration deadline is 7 May, 2012.

The 7th Asia Pacific Association for Medical Informatics Conference (APAMI‐2012) will be held at the Crowne Plaza Beijing Sun Palace, Beijing, China on October 22‐25, 2012. The Call for Papers is now open ‐ closing date for sub‐

IFIP/IMIA Working Conference, Interfacing bio‐ and medical informatics ‐ 27 September, 2012

The Call for Papers closes on 15 May, 2012.
The topic of this meeting will be the link between bioinformatics and medical informatics. IFIP’s Working Groups 5.13 Bioinformatics and its applications and IMIA’s Working Group on Informatics in Genomic Medicine (IGM) are working in this area and supporting this event.
Contributions are solicited that cover the interface between bioinformatics and medical informatics; they can be offering research contributions as well as papers providing practical cases, and proposals for panel discussions are also invited.
EJBI Call for Papers: Standards and Solutions for eHealth Interoperability
Prof. Jana Zvárová, Editor‐in‐Chief of EJBI, announces that the European Journal for Biomedical Informatics (EJBI), an official journal of the European Federation for Medical Informatics (EFMI), seeks papers for a special issue on Standards and Solutions for eHealth Interoperability. The deadline for submissions is June 15, 2012.

New Digital Healthcare MSc, University of Warwick (England)
The Institute of Digital Healthcare, at the University of Warwick (England, United Kingdom), is launching a new Masters programme in October 2012 in Digital Healthcare. The programme will be offered as an MSc with special focus i.e. MSc in Digital Healthcare (engineering) or MSc in Digital Healthcare (clinical) on a full‐time or part‐time basis. Launch of The Social MEDia Course
The Social MEDia Course (http://thecourse.webicina.com/) is a free online course, available to anyone to access.
While the course was primarily designed for medical and public health students as well as medical professionals, the vast majority of the presentations can provide useful pieces of information for patients and basically for every‐
one interested in health and social media.
