Allotment plots for rent online - continue your tenancy of the plot
We have updated the terms of lease as well as the lease procedure of the City of Jyväskylä allot- ments. We no longer send you an invoice for allotment rent in a letter to your home. You can keep the allotment plot you had last year by paying the allotment rent by 31 March 2021. Pay the rent either online on the reservation service webpage or in person at Jyväskylä Information Service Desk. Do not use old invoices or account information for paying the rent. By paying the allotment rent, you agree to the new terms of the lease (Allotment Garden Rules). The new terms of lease are on the allotment garden websites and you can see them also at the service desk before making a reservation, if you like.
Perennials can be planted and grown on Keljonlahti, Kilkitniemi, Kirri, Kortesuo-Viitaniemi, Naattia and Sulkuranta allotments. The city does not carry out soil cultivation in these areas, while on the Survo- Korpela allotments, the soil is cultivated by the city and therefore the plots have to be emptied of all items by the end of September. You can reserve plots online if you have bank identifiers and an email address.

If you do not have internet access, email address or online banking service, as of 1 March 2021, you can pay the allotment rent at Jyväskylä Information Service Desk (Asemakatu 7, Shopping Mall Fo- rum, 2nd floor, open on weekdays from 10 to 14). Give the assistant on the counter the name of the tenant and their personal ID code or a company business ID.
Reservation period for previous tenants will end on 31 March 2021. The allotment plots which were not re-rented will be available for new tenants as of 15 April 2021.
Please note the new numbering system on most of the allotment plots. When making a reservation, please make a note of your plot number. The location remains the same even if the number is new.
Only in Survo-Korpela allotments, some of the plots had to be shifted due to the location of a new wa- ter pipe line.
NB In future, you have to renew your tenancy on your own initiative every year. Always pay the rent for the plot by the end of March, either online on the reservation service webpage, or in person at Jyväskylä Information Service Desk. The reservation service will sen you an online reminder when it is time to renew your tenancy. You will be reminded also by a text message.
