University of Jyväskylä is a traditional research university in the lake region of Finland with over a century of history in multidisciplinary education and research. Jyväskylä University School of Business and Economics is a full service Business School with vivid educational activities (Bachelor, Master, Doctoral), research, and business outreach. The faculty of the Business School serves 1100 full time students, 170 doctoral students, and 200 MBA students.
The positions are located in the Strategy and Entrepreneurship Group. The Group is dedicated to high-quality research in the areas of (1) strategy, (2) new business creation (3) internationalization, and (4) corporate environmental management. Teaching assignments encompass undergraduate, graduate, and Ph.D. programs: on average three courses per year.
Courses are taught in English. The appointments are effective starting October 1, 2012 or thereafter as soon as possible.
Applications are currently being accepted for several positions:
1) Professor, entrepreneurship, contract length open-ended
2) Professor, entrepreneurship and international business, contract length open-ended 3) Professor, technology management, contract length open-ended
4) Professor, strategic management, contract length open-ended
5) University researchers 1-4 positions, contract length four years or open-ended 6) Postdoctoral researchers 1-4 positions, contract length maximum of four years
The university researchers and postdoctoral researchers are being recruited in the main research areas of the department, which are entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship and international business, technology management and strategic management. The appointments are effective starting October 1, 2012 or thereafter as soon as possible. Salary
The basic salary of professors depends on the qualifications and experience of the nominee and ranges between levels 8–11 (4543,23 EUR/month – 6703,084 EUR/month), for university researchers the basic salary ranges between levels 5–7 (2787,19 EUR/month – 3754,51 EUR/month), for post-doctoral researchers between levels 5–6 (2787,19 EUR/month – 3254,17 EUR/month). Based on personal performance, these can be supplemented by up to 46,3 %.
