Sosiaali‐ ja terveydenhuollon tietosuojaseminaari 13.‐14.11.2012 Hämeenlinnassa. Seminaari on tarkoitettu kaikille, jotka työssään tai luottamustoimessaan ovat terveydenhuollon tai sosiaalihuollon tietosuoja‐asioiden kanssa tekemisissä.
Seminaarin järjestävät tietosuojavaltuutetun toimiston johdolla toimivat terveydenhuollon ja sosiaalihuollon tietosuojan ohjausryhmät (Tellu ja Sohvi) yhteistyössä Kanta‐Hämeen sairaanhoitopiirin, Hämeenlinnan kaupungin, Suomen Kuntaliiton ja FCG Finnish Consulting Group Oy:n kanssa.
E‐hoito & Connected Health 2012 – seminaari 20.‐21.11.2012 Pörssitalossa, Helsingissä Jatkuvat tietojärjestelmien kehitystarpeet ‐ miten päästä kierteestä?
Terveydenhuollon tietojärjestelmät tukevat huonosti lääkärien päivittäistä työtä, esimerkiksi yksinkertaisen sanelun tallentaminen vaatii 60 klikkausta. Käyttäjäystävällisellä suunnittelulla lääkärien ja hoitohenkilökunnan työaikaa saataisiin suunnattua varsinaiseen työhön. Mutta miten se onnistuisi?

MEDICA 2012 in Düsseldorf: The industry continues to look to the world´s No. 1 event in the field
The industry also continues to look to MEDICA (14 – 17 November) in 2012. Registrations received so far suggest exhibitor attendance on a par with the previous year, i.e. approx. 4,500 exhibitors from some 60 countries.
Every year in November “MedTech” producers from throughout the world use the world’s largest medical trade fair MEDICA in Düsseldorf to showcase the entire range of new products and services for health care.

The focus of this fourth Louhi workshop is on, but not limited to:
syntactic, semantic, and pragmatic analysis of health documents;
mono‐ and multilingual methods, applications, and resources for their automated processing and intelli‐
gent re‐use;
cross‐language evaluation health documentation and their processing methods, applications, and re‐
sources; and
methods, resources, and infrastructure for this cross‐language evaluation.

Australian Health Informatics Summer School in Sydney, Australia: 4‐8 Feb 2013
The University of Western Sydney will host its 3rd Health Informatics “Summer School” in Sydney consisting of a series of short courses during the week of 4‐8 February 2013 to address these needs. Each short course will be run as a full day intensive mode classroom or workshop style session delivered by a team of invited national experts and UWS Health Informatics staff. Each short course will be limited in attendance to a maximum of 30 participants, to ensure an adequate level of personal interaction with the presenter is achievable. Notes from presentations and certificates of attendance will be provided. The short courses are not intended to be eligible for academic credit in university degree courses.
