The Linguistic Association

of

Finland was founded

in

1977

to

promote linguistic research in Finland by offering a forum for the discusion a¡rd dissemination of research in linguistics, both in Finland and abroad. Membership is open to anyone interested in linguistics; membership forms can be obtained from any of the board members. The membership fee in 1997 was 130 FIM (70 FIM for students and unemployed members).

Members are sent a newsletter and they receive the Association's yearbook gratis.

Contributors

Policy: The Association's Yearbook is published on an annual basis. Every article is refereed by at last two anonymous referees.

Language

of

Publication: Contributions should

be

written

in an

intemational conference language (English, German, or French).

If

the article is not written in the native language

of

the author, the language should be revised by a qualified native speaker before submission.

Submission

of

Manuscripts: Manuscripts

(in

3 copies) should be submitted to the Editors.

Style Sheet: A detailed style sheet is available from the Editors.
