A MULTIDISCIPLINARY LEARNING PROCESS

In a multidisciplinary learning process, you combine teaching from different branches of science and different subjects and increase the collaboration between teachers. A multidisciplinary learning process brings in the goals of two or more subjects. The integration of subjects gives the teachers the opportunity to develop in a natural way projects that leave the repetitive learning towards the learning of a larger contexts, and understanding the connections between subjects, towards a more rounded understanding and development of skills and knowledge.

PLANNING A MULTIDISCIPLINARY LEARNING PROCESS

First you choose the subjects you want to teach as a multidisciplinary whole. You need to think about which subjects fit together and where you take the learning goals. You may also think about what subjects will support the treatment and learning of another subject. Is one subject a so-called main subject, i.e. is this where you take the main goals from? You can combine several.What is the subject from which you take additional goals? There can be several as they work both as learning targets and learning tools.

Example: main goals from geography, additional goals from art, additional goals from spread sheets, additional goals from English.
